‘Atlas of Sinkholes, 10 Global Cases of Anthropogenic Subsidence Events Linked to Groundwater Withdrawal’ is an information design book that treats sinkholes as surface evidence of groundwater stress, illustrating how long-term extraction, drought pressure, and regulatory failure disrupt the natural balance. Ten case studies from ten different countries are presented as comparable records, allowing patterns to be read across different geologies, land uses, and governance contexts.

The visual system is restrained and archival. We used a single typeface, consistent frames, and dashed lines prioritise orientation and cross-reading. The case studies are set on brown paper referencing the earth they form in, and the book's reading direction rotates 90° to accommodate the four-page spread. A physical cut-out represents the sinkhole itself, revealing either its diameter or depth as the page is turned, separating above and below ground.
